Traditional Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation, and Reflexology

Health is the body’s natural state.  As a practitioner of acupuncture and reflexology Freya facilitates the body’s natural ability to heal itself and move back towards a state of balance and relaxation.  Freya encourages her clients to take an active role in their own health and well-being and offers support within each modality that is unique to each persons specific needs.

Freya specializes in Women’s Health and Fertility treatment through acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Reproductive health, like all health, is about balance and relativity.  Traditional Chinese medicine describes the reproductive system as a network of energy systems with complimentary organs and hormonal responses.  This network responds to stress, chemicals, lack of exercise, poor eating, and excess emotions, all of which can put the body out of balance.  Just as the body responds to negative influences, it also responds to gentle direction to return to balance.  The goal of treatment within acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is to find the root cause of imbalance and restore that balance within the body.  More specifically, acupuncture can  help restore hormonal balance, and increases blood flow to the reproductive organs.  Acupuncture is so successful at treating infertiltiy because when the body as an entire system is restored to health, conception is able to occur naturally.

Traditional Acupuncture
Treatments - 1 hour                                                                                                              Acupuncture is helpful for many concerns from headaches to joint pain.  It has been found effective for severe chronic conditions where pinpointing the cause has been difficult to determine.  Those who receive ongoing treatment for maintenance and the promotion of good health have reported that they:

Tend to get sick less often and recover more quickly.
Have improved stamina and vitality.
Are better managers of their own health.
See reductions in long-term health care costs & tend to visit physicians less often.
Enjoy deepened and more harmonious relationships with others.

Individuals receiving acupuncture treatments for specific symptoms often find relief from concerns including headaches, chronic fatigue, depression, allergies, back pain, digestive disorders, joint pain, sleeping problems, infertility, menstrual disorders, and other symptoms.  Treatment processes call for very slender, pre-sterilized, disposable needles to be inserted just beneath the skin’s surface.  Sensations vary from person to person with some clients feeling a dull ache or tingling sensation.

Facial Rejuvenation
Treatments - 1.5 Hours (12 treatment series)
This delicate use of acupuncture and essential oils is arranged in a sequence that develops collagen, improves muscle tone, increases circulation, and stimulates rejuvenating processes.  This treatment also improves hormonal balance and benefits hormonal acne, improves skin tone and facial color, and improves moisture level by increasing local circulation of blood and lymph to the face.  While your skin reacts to the subtle stimulation, the treatment is also adjusting energy throughout your entire body, promoting overall health and well-being.

This program is safe and effective, and brings with it none of the great expense, adverse effects, or toxicity of more invasive approaches that involve drugs or surgery.

Reflexology
Treatments - 1 Hour
A combination of pressure, stimulation, and essential oils are used to activate specific acupressure points and areas on the hands, feet, and head.  Concepts from Chinese medicine and acupuncture are used in developing effect treatment strategies based on the unique needs of each individual.
