Work-Study Program Information and Instructions
We are pleased to introduce the Evergreen Cove work-study program. This program is being offered as an additional form of financial aid for our programs, classes and workshops. Work-Study participants will earn $5 per hour in credits toward Evergreen Cove classes by working at pre-approved assigned tasks. Credits must be earned prior to taking the class toward which you want to apply the credit. Credits may be used to pay for up to 50% of the Standard tuition for most classes, not including materials fees.
To earn credit toward future classes, you must first fill out a work-study program application. The application will help us to determine your skills and abilities so that we can assign you to the tasks for which you are best suited and which are most needed. Once the application is approved, we will contact you to discuss specific work-study opportunities. Please note that there are a limited number of work-study assignments and a limited number of work-study hours available. We will do our best to accommodate all work-study requests, but we cannot guarantee that every applicant will be accepted or that assignments will be available in the preferred time frames.
Work-study participants will be responsible for logging in and out of the work-study binder if the assignment takes place during business hours or by sending an email specifying the task(s) completed and the hours worked if the work is done at other times.
You can redeem your work-study credits by calling Evergreen Cove and requesting a Work-Study Credit certificate in a particular amount. The certificate is non-transferable, and can only be applied to programs, classes and workshops. The credits cannot be used for membership or for services at the Wellness Center at Evergreen Cove.
At the time of registration, please present your Work-Study Credit certificate if you are registering in person or provide the number of the certificate if you are registering by phone. Work-Study credits cannot be applied to on-line registrations. The certificate must be used in full at the time of registration and you must also pay the balance of the tuition at that time.
In the event of a class cancellation, your Work-Study Credit along with your share of the tuition will be refunded. If you withdraw from the class more than 48 business hours prior to the class, we will refund your Credit and your tuition payment less $10. If you withdraw less than 48 hours prior to the class, we cannot refund your Credit or your share of the tuition.
