Embark on a path of spiritual awareness.
In this yoga practice we will focus on the yogic principles of yamas, restraints in our interactions with others, and niyamas, observances/personal practices. Learn to approach yoga postures with intention, to cultivate deeper awareness of the connection of breath with movement as you move in and out of the postures, and learn to pause and notice the effects of surrendering into your own true nature. Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced students.
KATHY QUACKENBUSH, RYT, has been practicing yoga for 7 years. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher® and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Green Yoga Association. Kathy often feels like a translator, relating especially to people who ordinarily would not imagine they could do yoga, and welcomes the opportunity to guide her students to discover their true capacity for stretching, breathing, and relaxing into life. Kathy’s personal yoga practice and teaching practice are inspired by her own teacher and mentor, Carolyn Roslund, with roots in the Kripalu Yoga tradition.
