Learn the basics of fly fishing!

 Frequently called the quiet sport, fly fishing can be a relaxing and artful way to spend time on the water.  If you have always wanted to learn fly fishing but didn’t know where to start, then this class is for you.  Captain Russ Wilkinson will teach you basics from setting up a basic system to the hooking and landing of fish.  Classroom time will concentrate on the technical, and casting basics will be taught in a hands on manner outside.  Feel free to bring your own fly rod if you have one.  Keepers of St. Michaels has extended a 15% tackle discount to all class participants. Please bring a bag lunch. 

Captain RUSS WILKINSON is a licensed Coast Guard Captain and holds a Maryland Guides license.  He is also an ORVIS Endorsed Fly Fishing Guide, an endorsed guide with CCA (Coastal Conservation Association), and a life member of Trout Unlimited.  Captain Russ guides clients from the head waters to the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay as well as off shore in pursuit of bigger game on a fly rod.  He has been guiding professionally, instructing fly fishing classes and conducting seminars for over 5 years.
