No matter how big or small your budget, you’re sure to find something to the feed the body, inspire the mind, and enliven the spirit at the 7th Annual “Amazing Auction” hosted by Evergreen Cove Holistic Learning Center on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Not your run‑of‑the‑mill sale, this event has an Eastern Shore flavor with Evergreen Cove’s distinctive touch of care and excellence. Bidders will have the chance to purchase a wide array of unique services and items, many of them handmade. Look for the perfect wedding, anniversary or Father’s Day gift.

Join the festivities and lend support to this unique non‑profit organization and perhaps come home with a special treasure!
Many travel and adventure possibilities will be available, including a week’s stay in a charming French village in Provence near St. Tropez, a visit to a luxury home in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Vermont vacation package, Nashville vacation, several Rehoboth Beach resort rentals, Skipjack cruise with Capt. Ed Farley on the H. M. Krentz, a plane ride and airport breakfast, and hayride for ten at Hope House.

Handmade artworks by Eastern Shore artists will include a pair of “one of a kind” high‑fired porcelain jars with lids by Ann Krestensen, “The Cove,” an original watercolor painting by Martha Hudson, paintings by Dare Wenzler and Bill U’Ren, stained glass arwork by Molly Matthews, handmade bracelet by Lori Anderson Designs, hand-woven basket vase by Heidi Wetzel, and pottery by Ken Sadler and Paul Aspell.

Elegant jewelry offerings include a double strand 17" necklace from Shearer the Jeweler made of amethyst, lapis lazuli, malachite and silver beads and an African tribal necklace donated by Sheila Wainwright.
Artists will offer creativity sessions in their studios including mosaic and jewelry artist Susan Stockman, Off‑the‑Wall Pottery artists Ken Sadler and Paul Aspell, and basket weaver Heidi Wetzel.

As part of the fundraiser, Evergreen Cove practitioners and instructors will offer their services at auction, including therapeutic massages, life coaching sessions, computer support, Feng Shui consultation, hypnosis, yoga sessions, meditation instruction, and posture alignment.

Other unique items include a stainless steel grill, nautical clock and chart weight compass from Irish Collection, crepe de chine silk scarf, clothing from Trade Whims, custom quilt, dinners at Town Dock, Waterview Grille, Toby’s Dinner Theatre and in private homes, Avalon Theatre tickets, personal trainer sessions, family portrait session, homemade food items, dog training lessons, Egyptian doumbek drum, blacksmithed candelabra, painted mailbox, gift baskets from Railway Market and Hill’s Drug Store, knitted lap throw, summer wrap, knitting lessons, handyman services, pet or farm sitting, load of gravel, Curves memberships, and gift certificates from Super Suppers, Claybakers, Spurry’s Tire, and Coffee East.

The event begins with a Silent Auction from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a Live Auction with auctioneer Herb Andrew from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. Door prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be given away during the evening. Admission is free. Evergreen Cove is located at 770 Port Street in Easton.
