Kathy and her husband Frank, two dogs, and two cats have lived in Federalsburg since 2001. She is the mother of a daughter and two sons, and is delighted to be a grandmother as well.

She brings to Evergreen Cove’s Board of Directors a varied background. She travelled extensively, both as a child in a military family and professionally working as a consultant to medical transcription training centers in India. She trained as a medical assistant, transitioned to medical language specialist, managed her own business for several years,  and was very active in the professional organization for medical transcriptionists. Kathy was a member of the international standards organization, ASTM International, and helped to write their standards for dictation and transcription practices.

Kathy has been teaching yoga at Evergreen Cove since January 2007. Her yoga roots are based in the Kripalu tradition. As she continues to grow her body-mind-spirit healing practice, Kathy more recently has become an Usui Reiki practitioner and a birth doula.

She has served as co-chair of Evergreen Cove’s Handmade from the Heart Art Sale fundraiser and continues to be an energetic, enthusiastic member of the Evergreen Cove Board.
