Debbie is an Ayurvedist (D.Ay.) and Certified Meditation Instructor who studied Ayurveda in the U.S. and India. She designed and directed the SPAyurveda  panchakarma clinic at Integrative Medicine of Northern Virginia, and currently develops and administers educational programs for Ayurveda-MD.  The author of many Ayurvedic articles and newsletters, Debbie is also an affiliated practitioner, maintaining a joint Ayurvedic practice with her husband, David Mathis, MD, in Easton.

She joined the Board because Evergreen Cove shares one of the guiding principles of her life and work: the profound interconnectedness of everything in life, both seen and unseen.  Debbie is pleased to be of service to Evergreen Cove as it continues to support the community at large with outstanding programs, practitioners and resources.
